Mia’s Story, or Her 555 Angel Number

I didn't believe in angels. I do now. Let me tell you the story of Mia and her 555 angel number. You could say that her life changed miraculously, if you believe in that sort of thing. I didn't. I do now.

Mia was the standard version of a twentysomething - average life, not many cool stories.

It was such that she could sum up her entire life story in a few moments - she didn’t like doing that however, because it called attention to her lack of life experiences. It was a disappointment to listener’s as well as herself.

Her boyfriend didn’t even speak to her much. Sure, he texted some - but not even as much as the usual lackadaisical significant other that so many of her girlfriends had.

One day, he simply vanished. His texts stopped. Without any explanation, the lazy boyfriend had ghosted.

Mia was devastated, of course - having a lack of life experiences meant that every “first” was complete and utter ruin. She did not yet know how being alone could help her.

Her life became even less inspired - not knowing what else to do, she cried. She cried when she woke up, and she cried when she went to bed.

Because Mia had not yet felt the pains of rejection and abandonment, she felt empty and alone. Incomplete, even.

Her life became even less inspired - not knowing what else to do, she cried. She cried when she woke up, and she cried when she went to bed. Not that she left the bed very often if she didn’t have to.

Her work, which used to bring her at least some satisfaction, was now pointless. Nothing motivated her. Her life was now very obviously robotic to her, where before it hadn’t been pressing enough for her to notice.

That’s one rare benefit of being depressed - you sometimes see details differently. A whole new light can bring out beauty in a bleak situation - that’s why some of the greatest artists were often melancholic and depressed. Van Gogh for instance.

The depression caused Mia to see things differently as well. At first it was a small detail - every morning, she awoke at 5:55. It didn’t matter how she set her alarm, or how she tried to stay awake, it was always the same. 5:55.
